The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Central New Jersey (NPHCCNJ) is a non-profit, public service organization whose members are comprised of those holding membership in the nine Black Greek Letter Organizations (BGLOs). Collectively, we are known as “the Divine Nine.” Our purpose is to work collaboratively with the NPHCCJ Social Action Committee (SAC) to address social action issues, serve the community through public service, and support philanthropic initiatives. Our members are primarily from the African Diaspora – the United States, Caribbean Islands, Latin America, and more. We have a common goal: justice FOR ALL and support for disenfranchised people. The Social Action Committee harnesses the collective voices, commitment and expertise of its diverse membership to affect positive change in the communities it serves. The SAC's goal is to transfer the tools that empower informed and proactive involvement in community governance, issues of social equity and quality of life. The SAC accomplishes it goals through advocacy, education, and community engagement, and through partnerships with venerable community leaders and institutions. The SAC is committed to being a resource and partner for all extended communities and including the immediate seven Central New Jersey counties it serves like; Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Ocean, Somerset and Union Counties.
